Virtual analog emulation
Experience the meticulous and authentic virtual analog emulation of the iconic semi-modular analog polyphonic synthesizer that was originally released by Korg in 1977. The Cherry Audio PS-3300 faithfully recreates the sonic character and versatility of its predecessor.
Three independent signal generator panels
The PS-3300 features three independent "signal generator" panels, each equipped with an oscillator, lowpass filter, three-peak resonators, envelope with velocity control, amp, two mod generator LFOs, and per-note tuning. This allows for immense flexibility and creativity when shaping your sound.
Versatile oscillator and waveforms
With the PS-3300, you have access to three VCOs (Voltage-Controlled Oscillators) that offer six different waveforms including triangle, saw, rectangle (square), two preset pulse waves of varying widths, and PWM (variable-width pulse). This comprehensive range of waveforms allows you to create a myriad of sounds and textures.
Resonant VCF filters
The PS-3300 boasts three resonant VCF (Voltage-Controlled Filter) 12 dB/oct lowpass filters. You have the option to select between the standard "clean" PS filter or the "crunchier" MS-style filter. This enables you to add character and depth to your sounds, whether you prefer a clean and precise tone or a more gritty and aggressive sound.
Modulatable "resonators"
Explore the possibilities of the three modulatable "resonators" in the PS-3300. These 12 dB/oct bandpass filters allow you to create vowel and phasing tones, adding a unique and expressive quality to your music.
ADSR-Type envelope modulators
Shape your sounds precisely with the three discreet adsr-type envelope modulators. Each envelope modulator is equipped with velocity control and amplitude modulation, giving you detailed control over the dynamics of your sound.
Mod generators with output jacks
The PS-3300 features two syncable "mod generators" (LFOs) with output jacks. One mod generator offers triangle, saw, ramp, rectangle, pink noise, and white noise waveforms, while the other provides a triangle waveform. These mod generators open up a world of modulation possibilities, allowing you to add movement and evolving textures to your music.
Temperament section and individual tuning
Enjoy the flexibility of the temperament section, which includes individual tuning knobs for the 12 chromatic notes. The PS-3300 also offers temperament presets for Equal Tempered, Mean Tone System, Hepatonal System, and Just Intonation, allowing you to explore different tuning systems effortlessly.
Seamless copy/paste settings
Work efficiently with the PS-3300's ability to copy and paste settings from one signal generator panel to another. This feature saves you time and effort when creating complex sounds and allows for consistent settings across multiple panels.
Polyphonic and monophonic modes
The PS-3300 offers polyphonic mode with up to 24 voices of polyphony, as well as three monophonic modes: last note, low note, and high note priority. This versatility accommodates different playing styles and allows for expressive performances.
Semi-modular design with virtual jack and cable system
Experience the flexibility of the PS-3300's semi-modular design, complete with a virtual jack and cable system. This feature offers unlimited mults per jack, customizable cables (with options for color, transparency, and animation), and a truly modular experience for sound design enthusiasts.
Studio-quality integrated effects
Enhance your sounds with the PS-3300's studio-quality integrated effects. Enjoy a chorus effect, echo with sync capability, and three types of reverb: spring, plate, and Galactic. These effects add depth, spaciousness, and character to your music, elevating your compositions to a professional level.
Professionally designed presets and sound design adventures
With over 360 professionally designed presets in diverse categories, the PS-3300 gives you a wide range of sounds to explore. You'll also find a bonus Legacy collection of basic presets based on the original PS-3300 Owner's Manual patch sheets, a Glissando patch based on the 3100 model, and a 432 Hz Equal Temperament patch. These presets serve as a starting point for your own sound design adventures.
Flexible standalone and plug-in versions
The PS-3300 is available as both a standalone virtual instrument and a plug-in version, catering to your preferred workflow. Whether you prefer to work within your DAW or use it as a standalone instrument, the PS-3300 seamlessly integrates into your setup.
