Stunning tonewoods
Enjoy the quality truly beautiful wood can bring. The Preciso cello makes the most of the tones of wood, aging their European Maple and Spruce for over five years. Then, as you play your gorgeous cello, over time the tonewoods will relax into their natural rest state, letting you play with an even richer depth. Each piece has been hand-carved to perfection. The quality of the solid Spruce top is crucial, forming the primary voice as it resonates as a single structure. The solid, flamed Maple ribs and back add character to this beautiful foundation, as well as looking stunning. The appearance of your cello is perfected with traditional inlaid purfling and an antiqued finish for a touch of the classic.
The finest details
Each component of this cello has been thoughtfully chosen. Ebony is the perfect material for a fingerboard, its tight grain allowing it a truly long-lasting quality. This means it won't show wear and will provide a hard surface for quick fingering. The perfectly shaped bridge will also add to your tone, and the Aubert Mirecourt bridge is a refined piece. This French company craft delicate bridges to bring out the best in your sound.
You're ready to go
Nothing will hold up your performance with this complete setup. Once you've set up the bridge, you'll be able to jump right in to playing with a fully mounted bow made from durable Bulletwood. Get your bow ready for playing with the included Hidersine rosin block so you can produce the smoothest tone. Then, pack it all up in your sturdy styrofoam case, providing durable protection for your instrument as you travel between rehearsals, orchestra, and performances!
About Hidersine
The company was founded in 1890 and has since been the go-to company of bowed instrument maintenance and care. The company really made their mark in this specialist market when they introduced Amy Birch's 'AB' Rosin in 1970 and the legendary W.E.Hill & Sons' rosins in the 1980's.
Hidersine Bowed Instruments round up all of the years of working with instrument luthiers, learning what is required by players at all the different levels of development. Gained from the years of work are the ESTA-chosen (European String Teachers Association), entry-level Vivente student outfit, the advanced Piacenza student outfit, and the degree students choice, the Veracini, plus many more fine instruments.
