What sets Zerobox apart
As we enter a modern age, many plug-in manufacturers are seeking to authentically recreate legendary synths of the past. In order to stand out from the crowd, Zerobox includes a set of new features that go above and beyond what was ever possible with the hardware counterpart. For complex wave manipulation and wave-blending, Zerobox comes with an exclusive LFO, ranging from 0.05Hz to 20Hz.
For added authenticity in creating the desired analog sound, Zerobox comes with a virtually-modelled component age selector to change the instability levels of internal components. This goes hand-in-hand with the integrated circuit-bents that add to the charm and character of traditional analog equipment, whilst maintaining 100% of the functionality. Lastly, you can choose between six insert effects which range from distortions to chorus and much more to add the professional edge that your sound needs.
Classic 4-pole low-pass filter and built-in distortion
A staple in the original hardware, the 24dB/octave filter is one of the shining lights of this bass synthesizer. Vital in the tonal shaping capabilities of the original, Zerobox immaculately models the four-pole filter to give you the same experience as many who discovered its power in the '80s. You can dial in the low-pass cutoff frequency and resonance settings with precision, allowing you to easily shape your tones, adding weight and power to your low-end.
Powered by Advanced Component Simulation (ACS)
To recreate an iconic sound that is familiar to so many producers and musicians, it's important to pay close attention to the details. This is where the ACS modelling technology ensures a like-for-like replica of the original hardware. Faithfully simulating the physical properties of the architecture of the hardware as well as the electro-acoustic components found inside the instrument, Zerobox captures every nuance and detail of the fabled bass synthesizer hardware.
For such a unit as the Zerobox models, capturing the micro-instabilities and imperfections is paramount. Including these imperfections in the sound of Zerobox will deliver a higher degree of accuracy and realism when compared to other recreations. Now as well as sounding accurate, the response of each note is as authentic as the hardware, giving you a symbiotic relationship that moves with your playing, letting you capture your lighting in a jar.
