A fully-fledged instrument, Striiiings is not simply a reductive collection of static loops and phrases. It's a living instrument that follows your musical lead to help you achieve your end-goal quicker than ever. This library is a purpose-designed suite of stringed orchestration, built for a myriad of different production requirements. Versatile enough to be used in anything from contemporary pop productions, expansive game sound design or silver screen scoring. Offering a new way to think about string orchestration, Striiiings splits high and low register instruments into different modules, allowing full control over each, without the need to dive into the minutia of techniques.

Million-dollar sound

As a founding member of UJAM, Hans Zimmer has lent his more than capable hand to the creation of Striiiings. Recorded in his legendary Remote Control Studio using a selection of his personal stringed instruments, Striiiings ascends to the cream of the crop for virtual string libraries. The studio and instruments are only good as the players performing on them, which is why UJAM have employed best-in-class instrumentalists to record this library using the best equipment that money can buy. Produced and recorded by industry -veteran Boris Salchow, UJAM Smyphonic Elements Striiiings is a force to be reckoned with.

Supernatural sound design engine

Designed to not only give you highly realistic string sounds, but UJAM Striiiings also employs a new Supernatural sound engine, filled with powerful sound shaping tools for a sound design twist. Build textures, atmospheres and even completely reshape and transform your string sound into a completely new instrument to suit the needs of your production with ease.

As each section of the orchestration is divided into low and high strings, each range is given its own independent set of controls, parameters and effects to help you fine-tune your sound along with a master section. Add movement and rhythmical dynamics to your strings with Motion FX, comprised of everything from rhythmical, chopped and glitched staccato sounds to smooth vibrato and tremolo. Ideal for lifting a solo section with enhanced emotion to sound more realistic and dynamic. Delicate Character FX allows you to reshape the overall timbre of your lows and high strings by boosting and cutting different frequencies. The Character FX works in tandem with the Focus EQ control, allowing you to morph between different preset EQ curves to alter the frequency response of your independent low and high strings to cut through even the densest mix.

It's not just the sound of each range that can be altered within UJAM Striiiings. You can dampen the sustain of notes within your phrases using the Decay control. Ideal for adding intense and sharp staccato notes to spikes and stabs that follow along with percussion or for enhancing the sustain of long, held notes.

The master module affects both the low and high string orchestral simultaneously, offering a global change to the tone for creative sound design. This is where you will find the crossfade control that seamlessly morphs the volume between low and high strings to dial-in the perfect level for your project. A key aspect of realistic string performances is the ambience, which is why UJAM Symphonic Elements Striiiings includes a variety of real-world ambience spaces to enhance the depth and dimension of your sound. For contemporary swells and faders, an analog-modelled synth filter is included in the Highlighter dial, making cinematic trailer impacts, that much more powerful. The final piece of the sound design palette is presented with the Finisher section. A staple amongst all UJAM products, this proprietary multi-effect design lets you do anything from subtle enhancement of your sound to completely redefining it to a new instrument!

Virtual Guitarist Carbon

Not the guitar you know

Heard extensively in contemporary cinematic soundscapes, the electric has evolved into a new instrument entirely. Part synth and part guitar combine to deliver modern organic and expressive sounds that lend themselves to futuristic textures. These sounds are now being heard in wider media including games and even chart-topping tracks. Carbon is the sound behind cold dystopian soundscapes, cyberpunk-themed video games and forward-thinking pop artists' repertoire.

Power under the hood

Built around the recording of a hyper-modern 8-string guitar, Carbon goes beyond tradition. Modelling the behaviour and running it through proprietary sound engines to bring out the nuances to the forefront. Newly developed for Virtual Guitarist Carbon, UJAM has brought to life futuristic amplifier and distortion sounds to go above and beyond what has ever been offered before.

Expansive sound design

Maintaining a core sound, Virtual Guitarist Carbon can only be described as raw and organic. No matter how you choose to manipulate your sound, Carbon remains musical and playable throughout, with a sound for every occasion. Pushing the envelope of what's possible with guitar processing, UJAM Carbon offers a myriad of techniques and parameters to alter your sound. Five custom-designed amplifier types offer a different character of gain and distortion, while a tuned focus EQ helps to tighten up your sound. Helping to cut through dense layers of synthesizers and other instruments within your mix, Carbon features four playback modes comprised of single mono tracked, stereo double-tracked, triple tracked and quad tracked guitars. Each mode then coincides with the newly designed layerer feature, allowing you to virtually move guitar amplifiers across a stage to create a wall of sound to power through your production.

Similar to other UJAM releases, Virtual Guitarist Carbon features several Finisher multi-effects, combining 20 cutting-edge effect algorithms into over 100 presets. Using these, you can transform your 8-string guitar into a completely unique and new instrument that's never been heard before.

Play your way

Providing you with the canvas on which to implement your sounds of destruction, Carbon offers two performance modes. Instrument mode lets you play and create your own phrases and melody by performing on your keyboard as normal. Perfect for writing bespoke melodies and riffs to your composition, in Instrument mode, there are no restrictions other than your creativity. The next mode is the Player mode. Here, you can playback the inspiring riffs and phrases embedded into Carbon to trigger melodies and riffs around your track. Perfect for the contemporary producer, these included styles and performances help to get ideas down in no time to supercharge your production workflow.
