About the Artist
Francesca Lilac Genco is renowned for her multifaceted career as a sound healer, singer, yoga teacher, bodywork practitioner, and teacher across various art disciplines. She has contributed two albums to the world of music, namely "Numinous River" in 2008 and "Lullabies for a World in Transition" in 2012. Her vocal talent was spotlighted in the musical scores composed by Ryan Amon for the 2013 sci-fi movie "Elysium," featuring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, and in Kaveh Cohen's Japanese trailer music for the hit film "Avatar" by James Cameron. In 2009, she teamed up with Tonehammer to produce a vocal library, which received acclaim and paved the way for numerous collaborations with composers across the United States and Europe, including a significant project in 2014 with Soundiron to create an advanced voice library.
Genco is also the creative force behind Song of the Body, an organization dedicated to offering sessions, workshops, and retreats that focus on embodied voice practices, sound healing, yoga, and artistic expression. She conducts "Singing the Body" workshops, leads improvisational chanting groups in the San Francisco Bay Area, the East Coast, and Europe. Her teaching and private consultations emphasize forming a deep connection with one's body by tuning into and engaging with its inherent wisdom and vibrational qualities.
