ACB (analog circuit behaviour) technology
The Roland Juno-60 Virtual Instrument features the latest generation of the renowned Analog Circuit Behaviour (ACB) technology. ACB technology was developed specifically to enable the user to authentically recreate the sound and behaviour of classic analog synthesizers. The new Juno-60 Virtual Instrument features the most advanced ACB engine yet, with decades of research into the science of sound and synthesis at their disposal. The ACB engine provides expressive and diverse sound with incredibly realistic characteristics, allowing you to create a wide range of tones from classic analog-style pads and basses to dynamic lead synths and other-worldly textures, ideal for the avid sound designer.
For all the filter freaks
Often overlooked, the importance of the filter cannot be understated. Greatly contributing to the overall sound of the synthesizer, the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument features a versatile and expressive filter that can traverse all the different flavours needed to get your sound. Perfectly capturing the original hardware filter, the Juno-60 even includes the ability to switch in the high-pass filter circuit to produce the elusive bass bump.
Reach beyond software
The JUNO-60 also supports our PLUG-OUT format for extended operation with the Roland SYSTEM-8 hardware synth. Parameters are automatically mapped to the SYSTEM-8’s controls, giving you a full-featured JUNO-60 that you can take to the stage without a computer. And for DAW-focused workflows, it’s possible to use the SYSTEM-8 or a Roland Boutique JU-06/JU-06A for one-to-one, hands-on control of the JUNO-60 plug-in. Perfect for the live musician, now you can carry the innovative sound of a JUNO without the need to search for rare and expensive hardware counterparts and add to your carry weight. Edit parameters on the fly and send presets back and forth between software and hardware to ensure consistency between your gigs to keep your audience engaged.
The revered JUNO sound
Helping to define the sound of the '80s, the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument delivers the unmistakable character of vintage Roland synthesizers to your DAW. Capable of producing fat, punchy analog sounds through a formula of a single DCO, sub-oscillator and characterful VCF, the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument gives you indistinguishable, hi-fi and inspiring tones to level up your music production.
A huge part of the Juno sound is attributed to the lush chorus circuit that has been included in the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument. Like the hardware counterpart, this includes two selectable chorus modes, plus a third "secret" mode, accessed by engaging both buttons at the same time. Painstakingly replicated, the behaviour has been modelled to produce the most accurate software variation ever seen, with incredible attention to detail the inherent noise has even been modelled, giving it vintage charm! To meet the needs of the modern producer, the Juno-60 Virtual Instrument includes the classic BOSS CE-1 Chorus pedal, along with a myriad of equally luscious reverbs, delays, flangers and overdrives.
Packed with mix-ready presets from industry experts and world-class sound designers, you can jump straight into creating basses, leads, pads and plucks all within the click of a button. The ultimate solution for any avid synthesizer fan, this features an almost endless supply of inspiration to create music the way you want.
