The new way to think of speaker simulation
Based on profiles of guitar speaker cabinets, MCabinet provides near-endless customisation of a guitar cab to find the right sound instead of focussing on endless lists of impulse responses (IRs). Helping to focus your creative potential, MCabinet removes all the unnecessary menu diving through unhelpful file names to find the right sound and lets you interact with the components of your cabinet to customise a sound that's right for you.
Simple controls, creative results
Based on analysis of real cabinets, MCabinet presents a profile from the analysis to give you an accurate representation of real-life cabinets. Four resonators are provided in a seamless matrix which lets you blend between all four to alter the response and resonant character of your speaker cabinet. Addition controls for stereo enhancement and ambience are included for a more natural 'in-the-room' sound, while a dynamic EQ lets you put the finishing touches on your sound to fit any mix or playing style.
Take your cabinet sounds with you wherever you go
For musicians who perform live with their band or solo, each cabinet sound with MCabinet can be exported into a single IR (impulse response) file. This can then be used with compatible hardware units which accept IR files, letting you take the customised sound of your favourite speaker cabinet with you to any show or performance!
Audition multiple settings instantly
With such a wide array of different tones available inside MCabinet, you might struggle to find which song fits your music the best. To help you quickly compare several different settings, Melda has included an A/B comparison switch. This lets you audition two settings simultaneously without needing to dial in the settings every time.
Taking it one step further, MCabinet includes A - H switching, offering up to eight slots of settings where you can freely switch between all eight to find the right sound for your song. Additionally, Slots A - D are available in the built-in X-Y pad, letting you blend between four potential settings and find the right balance between each of them.
Save, store and share your presets
Maintain a consistent guitar and bass speaker sound across all of your projects by saving presets in the built-in preset database. You can then quickly access them in any future project in any plug-in host. These can then be shared with users all around the world by uploading directly to the Melda servers, letting you join in with a growing community of MCabinet users. You can also download user presets directly from these servers to expand your virtual cabinet selection without spending a single penny.
Control multiple parameters simultaneously with Multiparameters
Perfect for automating different parameters throughout a song or performance, a Multiparameter lets you combine multiple parameters into one control. Reduce the number of steps you need to take your sound from one place to another, these smart units could be used to seamlessly morph between banks of settings.
