At the heart of the microphone is the large, 26mm gold-sputtered low distortion capsule, which comes mounted within an internal shock mount. The gold-sputtered capsule, combined with the cardioid polar pattern provides an extended frequency range, designed to capture every nuance from virtually any sound source. The low-noise F.E.T. amplifier helps to push the microphone to its maximum ability, making it highly versatile. The result is a sparkling top-end, with a powerful and defined bass response, combining to make a full-bodied and defined sound. The sound character is similar to what is found within vintage microphones and can be used to record both instruments and vocals.
