Product Ref: 80089
The Apogee Elements 88 is equipped with a high-quality A/D converter which guarantees that every detail of your recordings are captured into your computer. Recording with the Elements 88 ensures that you will minimise unwanted noise and maximise signal integrity - your tracks will sound amazing and mixing your recording will be easier than ever before.
Whether you're recording powerful drums, dynamic vocals or delicate strings, a premium mic preamp is essential for capturing the finest details of your performance. The premium Element Series microphone preamps feature Apogee's Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture™, which is an analog circuit that has been designed to dynamically optimise audio performance across a range range of 0dB to -75dB while also providing superior bandwidth and low distortion.
The high-quality D/A converter allows you to hear more definition in each track and virtual instrument, which therefore allows you to make precise adjustments and achieve the ideal balanced when mixing your music. When listening to your audio through the Elements 88, tracks will blend harmoniously with crisp and crystal-clear highs and tight, defined lows.
This Apogee audio I/O box relies on a clock source like an orchestra relies on a conductor. The digital audio clock provides a timing signal to all components of your digital audio system so that each part of the AD/DA process can be synchronised together. The Elements 88 features a built-in clock source while also providing a professional Word Clock input and output for use with other digital audio equipment. Use Elements 88 as the master clock to take advantage of Apogee's superior clocking technology.
Apogee's custom driver uses less of your computers CPU power thanks to the Direct Memory Access (DMA) technology, which allows you to run more plugins and monitor through your DAW at a low buffer setting. The Element series Thunderbolt driver delivers outstanding, low-latency performance (1.41ms round-trip) and rock-solid stability, which means you don't have to choose between power and speed.
The Apogee Elements series is built to be controlled via a powerful software eco-system. With a dedicated hardware remote control (sold separately), a control app for Mac OS devices and a mobile control app for iOS devices, the Elements series provides you with more control options than ever before.
The dedicated Mac control application allows you to access all I/O controls and settings for your Element hardware. Apogee's Element Control app allows you to select the input type, adjust input/output levels, configure up to 5 different low-latency mixes and more. Additionally, you can also quickly select any input or output, and adjust the level, by simply using the arrow keys on your Mac keyboard.
With Element Control's Essentials window, you'll see just the hardware settings you need in a form that requires minimal screen space. You can move the Essentials windows under, over or to the side of your DAW window, providing you with lightning access and complete control. The Element Essentials control ensures your workflow will be uninterrupted and your focus remains on the computer screen.
The dedicated iOS control application provides you with complete wireless control of the hardware settings that are featured in the Element Essentials Window. Simply download the iOS app from the App store to your iPad, iPhone or iPod, and connect to your Elements 88.
When you're using Logic Pro X, you can set Element 88's input settings such as gain, input source and more directly from Logic's Channel Strip. Providing you with the ultimate integrated system, Element's I/O settings are saved with each Logic session, for instant and effortless recall.
