Classic-style transformer-based preamps
The Focusrite ISA428 Mk II 4 Channel Pre Pack Pre-Amp brings you four timeless classic mic preamps in a compact and user-friendly 2U enclosure. This powerful pre-amp offers four mic preamp channels, as well as instrument inputs and line-ins, all conveniently located at your fingertips.
The original Focusrite mic pre was designed to complement the microphones of its time, and this updated model offers even more versatility. With the addition of three extra input impedances to the classic ISA 110 setting, you can now match any microphone, whether it's a vintage classic or a modern design, allowing you to access a wide range of sounds.
Variable input impedance and flexible controls
Each mic pre on the ISA428 Mk II gives you the choice between mic, line, or the front-panel instrument input. With variable input impedance, you can ensure that you are getting the best performance from your source. With up to 60dB of gain available on the four-position rotary and gain range switches, as well as an additional +20dB of continuously variable trim, you have a staggering 80dB of gain at your disposal. This makes the ISA428 Mk II perfect for capturing everything from subtle nuances to powerful performances. The high-pass filter also offers variable cut-off frequency, ranging from 16 to 420Hz.
Four additional AD converter inputs for high-end conversion
To further enhance its audio processing capabilities, the ISA428 Mk II offers optional A-D conversion, giving you four additional A-D converter inputs. This allows for up to eight channels of high-quality conversion, with a dynamic range of 122dB and exceptional jitter performance below 250 picoseconds. This optional feature takes your audio recordings to a whole new level of clarity and precision.
Selectable impedance for enhanced clarity
The Focusrite ISA428 Mk II gives you the freedom to experiment and explore different sonic possibilities. With selectable impedance settings, including the legendary 'Vintage ISA110' setting, you can achieve the original signature sound that Focusrite is known for. This feature allows you to match different microphones or push the boundaries of your creativity with various impedance settings.
