Key Features
The Korg D1 Digital Stage Piano is perfect for musicians on the move. Korg has achieved this by fitting their RH3 keybed into a sleek, but compact chassis, allowing the D1 to feel like a real grand piano while being a fraction of the size. This is complemented by the 30 high-quality sounds built into the instrument, providing a wide variety of keyboard instruments at your fingertip. Such a selection makes the D1 ideal for rock, jazz, funk and classical musicians.
A standard array of jacks and connections are available on the neatly organised back panel, allowing you to fit into many different venues or rehearsal spaces. A specially designed music rest that can be easily attached and removed is included with your Korg D1 for easy use with sheet music. Korg has also generously included a compact damper pedal for when you want that extra level of expressivity. You can play your D1 in style with the separately available ST-WL stand and you can carry around your piano to gigs with the Sequenz D1 case that is also separately available.

Experience some of the most realistic feeling keys in such a compact instrument. Korg's Japanese-made RH3 keybed recreates the touch of a grand piano's different hammers by making the lower keys feel heavier and the higher keys progressively feel less heavy. Such natural-feeling keys will be greatly appreciated if you are used to playing an acoustic piano.
No matter the genre of music you are playing, the Korg D1 will have a suitable sound. The sounds include keyboard instruments like the clavichord, harpsichord, electric piano, rock organ and pipe organ. It's not just keyboard instruments though, you can even play the vibraphone, acoustic guitar and strings as well. If you want to add more colour to your sound, then the inbuilt brilliance, reverb and chorus effects will add that extra touch of character you need.
Each sound is meticulously sampled for extra realism. There are four samples depending on the dynamic you are playing, allowing a realistic tone regardless of whether you're playing pianissimo or fortissimo. Other details that you would only hear on an acoustic piano are also included. The subtle sounds that occur when you release a key and the sound of the strings resonating when you press the damper pedal down both contribute to an amazingly realistic-sounding instrument.
All the connections are located on the rear of the D1 on a neatly laid out panel. Stereo outputs allow you to plug into a wide range of mixers, PA systems or interfaces. A jack for the included damper pedal is also located on this panel. You can control a wide selection of external synths or control your piano from another keyboard via the full size MIDI in and out ports. If you have a USB to MIDI converter, you can even control your Korg D1 from your computer.
