Included in the box are two pairs of cables, both 2.5 metres long with mini-XLR connectors to fit the headphones and one with a standard ¼" jack and the other with a 4-pin XLR for balanced headphone amps. There's a choice of a smart polished display case or the more practical rugged travel case with foam liner. 

The LCD3 have the capability to take huge changes in dynamics in their stride and transition from a full-blown orchestra to a single flute note as if it were nothing. They sound fantastic whatever music you choose to throw at them - they are not restricted to sounding better with any particular genre, if you want clean, realistic reproduction which will really engage your ears to their fullest extent then look no further.

They're comfortable too - although heavier than some headphones on the market as necessitated by their unique driver design the luxurious pads cup your ears perfectly and the simple adjustment mechanism enables easy but accurate fitting. Real leather or vegan options are available for both the ear pads and headband section.

Planar Magnetic Transducer

This is an ultra-thin membrane which offers incredibly low total harmonic distortion and capable of stunning sound quality which lies at the heart of the LCD-3's design. Oversized magnetic structures deliver the greatest flux density of any headphone available. The greater the flux density, the better the planar membrane is driven resulting in better transient response.

Fazor Elements

Fazors are special acoustical elements positioned on either side of the magnetic structure that enhances transparency by influencing sound waves generated by large planar diaphragms. Benefits include extended frequency response, improved high-frequency extension, phase response, and lowered distortion with better imaging.
