Solid Mahogany Construction

The Sigma SUM-2T+ features a body constructed entirely from solid mahogany, which early on became the 'ukulele sound' due to its warm, rich, and vibrant tone. Its solid mahogany body produces a focused sound with a punchy mid-range and a thick, well-defined tone. Together, the SUM-2T+'s tenor body and solid mahogany build provide the player with a full, rich and resonant tonality whilst its tenor body enhances projection for a louder acoustic performance.

Tenor Body

Larger and more curved than the standard soprano size uke, the SUM-2T+'s tenor body provides a rich, balanced tone suitable for a range of techniques and playing styles. Additionally, the blend of the Sigma's tenor size and solid mahogany build adds warmth and definition to the instruments overall sound. Its tenor shape also provides a comfortable playing experience for both beginners and more advanced players. Furthermore, its larger body has become favoured among ukulele players for its resonant tone and deeper, louder sound. Lastly, the ukulele soloist is certain to benefit from the SUM-2T+'s extended range and 20 frets, as there is more room to explore and experiment up and down the fingerboard, allowing for more technical abilities to be performed.

Mahogany Neck & Micarta Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Sigma's neck delivers a resonant rich warmth that responds superbly to many different playing styles with equal ease. Furthermore, the neck is topped with a micarta fingerboard which offers a smooth playing experience whilst adding sonically pleasing tones to the guitar's overall sound.

Real Bone Nut

The SUM-2T+ features a real bone nut, which offers excellent resonance and sustain, along with an authentic appearance. A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self lubricates and helps you stay in tune for longer.
