Tubbs had a tone in his head, and Revv Amplification have brought it to life. Weaving together a drive and boost circuit, they've created some real tonal magic. On the drive side you've got EQ options to sculpt the effect to your personal taste, but where that comes to life is on the boost side. Offering 12db of on tap boost, it can really beef up your signal and push that overdrive even further. But this isn't any old transparent boost, it's been shaped by Shawn to ensure you've got total control over your sound. There's a low end cut switch so you can instantly drop the low frequencies and let those mids ring out - perfect when you need more bite in your boom. This vast experience of countless gigs and recording sessions left Tubbs knowing exactly what he needed: A pedal that could cut through the mix with the right mids, is dynamic and responsive, and possesses a killer boost to lift everything to the next level. Well, his signature pedal does exactly that!
Rich tone overdrive
Achieve that killer tone you’ve always wanted. This dynamic pedal boasts carefully engineered, all-analogue circuitry that allows you to voice anything from subtle crackles right on through to musical distortions that can light up solos. Equipped with a set of controls to let you fine tune your output, it’s easy to get the grit you desire. Crucially, the bass control is designed to add some chunk and heft to your notes, increasing their impact without becoming tubby. Speaking of notes, you’ll be stunned by the clarity and articulation this signature pedal affords your playing! Maximum tone, with nothing getting in the way.
Push it further with the boost
The second part of Tubb’s dream. If the overdrive is the base of your tone, the boost is the engine. It’ll launch your sound with enough ferocity to punch through any mix thanks to its (up to)12 dB injection. Of course, this isn't just any boost, it's been carefully moulded to let your playing stand out with minimal noise corrupting your signal.
Shawn found that even with transparent boosts you can get a thicker low end that bloats your tone, ultimately masking your notes and playing. That isn't an issue on the Tilt Overdrive, as you've got a Tilt EQ dial and "Tight" switch to cut out any unwanted low end. Engage these options to remove half the low frequencies or cut them completely! This will move your mids into greater prominence which is ideal for solos. But if heavy, thick tones is more your style, you can leave these untouched to retain all the bass you want.
