Key Features
The Martin 0-28 Modern Deluxe 12 Fret is a diamond-quality instrument, masterfully crafted by the experts. Its sleek mahogany neck connects to the compact body at the 12th fret and promises a supremely comfortable playing experience. From the real bone nut to the composite carbon fibre bridge plate, from the multi-stripe rosette to the abalone inlays, every inch of this guitar has been designed and built with sublime attention to detail.
Martin's renowned innovation comes in the form of their Vintage Tone System (VTS), utilised for the Sitka spruce top. Thanks to such an intricate and thorough process, VTS delivers a tone that sounds as though it has aged over many years, whilst also ensuring the body has supreme strength and durability. East Indian rosewood back and sides then inject some extra warmth and volume into your sound, enhancing it with gorgeous warmth.

The Martin 0-28 features a Sitka spruce top, producing a sublime, versatile sound that accommodates many genres and techniques with ease, from lighter fingerpicking styles to heavier strumming patterns. Spruce exudes a crystal-clear tone with exceptional dynamics, promising deep lows, a warm midrange, and singing highs.
East Indian rosewood back and sides complement such a divine top, giving you a balanced and versatile tonal palette. Delve into rich warmth, superb resonance, and tremendous volume - rosewood's delicious sonic capabilities are bound to engulf you completely.
The 0-28 Modern Deluxe allows you to experience that deliciously classic Martin tone as soon as you start playing. Its Sitka spruce top has been carefully crafted with Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS), producing tones that sound as though they've aged over many years. This model proves that you don’t have to buy a vintage guitar to experience the esteemed, wondrous tone of a classic Martin. The VTS involves a thermochemical treatment which removes any water at a high temperature, leaving the wood extremely dry, superbly stable, and more importantly, with that sublime, vintage sound.
In order to deliver an exceptional, clear tone and sustain a comfortable playing experience, it is important to have a sturdy and durable structure. The 0-28 provides the utmost stability from the inside. Within the spruce and mahogany body there is scalloped X-bracing which offers robustness and resonance. The scalloped shape of the bracing means parts have been scooped out, allowing the spruce top to vibrate freely, and this results in a more dynamic sound that retains structural reliability. Scalloped bracing is an enticing feature, particularly on Martin guitars as it takes us back to their "Golden Era" when all their steel-string guitars featured this sturdy and resonant brace shape. Such instruments are still held with such high regard now, and so you can trust that the 0-28 has been constructed with history, experience, and an abundance of knowledge behind it.
The benefits of such an innovative brace do not stop there. An X-bracing pattern offers an exceptionally sturdy structure that accommodates high-tension steel strings. Tune up and play without worrying about any potential guitar body tragedies, X-bracing is strong enough to withstand any amount of pressure.
Please note: Martin do not ship their guitars with the strap button installed on the bottom of the guitar. They do this to avoid any impact cracks that may occur during shipping. You can find your strap button inside the case compartment.
