Luna's vision...
A beautiful journey. Starting with Yvonne Villiers, an accomplished stained-glass artist, who envisioned Luna guitars. Her inspiration for Luna all began with her mum Hilda Villiers, a bassist for over 40 years. Yvonne couldn't help but notice the massive struggle her mum had whilst playing enduring sets, and then listen to her complaints of discomfort. Forever battling the heft and bulk that basses can bring is tiresome, especially for smaller frames. That heaviness bears down throughout long sets and impacts your performance. So that left Yvonne with her curiosity and inspiration sparked. Dreaming of beautiful instruments designed to maximise playing comfort and entice women searching for lightweight design and comfort to accommodate their curves.
Yvonne knew she couldn't be the only person with this mindset. Sure that others also struggle with the same problems she saw her mum suffer with. With that, the idea for Luna Guitars was born, a woman-specific instrument brand that would be uniquely tailored to female-kind. Perfect for more petite frames, smaller hands, and general playing comfort. But that wasn't all. Yvonne wanted to create a line of guitars for females of all ages, crafted with luminous visual beauty. Not only to engage women's minds and spirits but their talents too. With distinctive artist skills, Yvonne already had an impeccable eye for colour and breathtaking design. Applying the same techniques to her new line of guitars that she used to create her award-winning stained glass artwork.
