The Ibanez RGIR9FME Iron Label 9-String is the new source of all your power. The EMG pickups which are loaded into this machine are built to withstand the raw power coming from all the strings and channel it into clear, tight tone. Being active, they have an incredibly high output, so they will allow you to bring some serious noise wherever you play. Even when chugging on the lower strings, you'll get a crisp, articulate response, with each note on fire with saturation and attack.
The Ibanez RGIR9FME Iron Label 9-String is equipped with a three way pickup selector that allows you to change between pickups with ease, giving you unbridled tonal control over your music. The neck position will make the upper register of this instrument shine out, whilst retaining plenty of balance in your sound. The bridge position will eliminate mud from the lower notes and give you every bit of tightness you need to sound absolutely huge.
Resounding tonewood resonance
The Ibanez RGIR9FME Iron Label 9-String is constructed from woods which have truly impressive tonal qualities. A flamed maple top injects a healthy dose of brightness into its overall sound, which helps to emphasise high gain saturation. This is backed up by the nyahtoh body, which offers plenty of midrange punch and sharpness.
The larger neck is well accommodated with a Nitro Wizard design, which, along with the jatoba fretboard, makes it extremely easy to play. You'll have no problem moving from fret to fret given the neck's razor sharp thinness, so nothing will hold your playing back. Constructed from maple and walnut, it also emits a bright tone with ample bite and attack. A longer scale length also gives the RGIR9FME even more uniqueness, adding some dark grit and 'boom' to its voicing.
Sleek and sturdy
With a Gibraltar Standard II-9 bridge keeping all nine strings in tune, you'll have no trouble making stellar sounding music. It will also add plenty of sustain to your notes and withstand even the most aggressive styles of playing.
