The EX-401 is powered by a pair of high output EMG pickups, consisting of an EMG 81 in the bridge position and an EMG 60 in the neck. The EMG 81 produces an incredibly intense sound, with good amounts of high end cut, while the EMG 60 pickup delivers a powerful output with clarity and sweet sustain.
Crafted From Mahogany
The ESP LTD EX-401 Electric Guitar features an EX body which screams 'metal' with its sharp, angular shape that is crafted from rich mahogany. The mahogany body provides the sound with warmth and resonance, as well as good bite and sustain. Mahogany is popular as a choice for rock music, as it is a durable tonewood and works well for punchy tones. The EX body features a snow white finish, contrasting black hardware and matching white neck/headstock binding for the ultimate metal aesthetics.
Maple Neck & Ebony Fingerboard
