Grand Auditorium Body

The Performer features a versatile shape; the grand auditorium. The shape is equally as suited to fingerpicking as it is to strumming. The grand auditorium is an all-purpose guitar and provides an extremely comfortable playing experience and projects a voice that can accommodate numerous different genres and playing techniques. To provide extra comfort and playability the Performer features a Venetian cutaway design.

Venetian Cutaway

The Venetian Cutaway is renowned for its soft, round lines, creating a visually stunning look that is recognisable on any body. This type of cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets for a comfortable play, and enables you with more freedom throughout the fingerboard.

Laminated Quilt Mahogany

Laminated tonewoods offer great durability and are far less susceptible to cracking. However, laminated timber will produce a less resonant sound than solid wood guitars, but remain full of sonic pleasures. The Dean Performer is constructed from a laminated quilt mahogany top and body which delivers a rich characterised warmth, a focused, woody, punchy mid-range, and a thick well-defined tone with plenty of depth and complexity that will accommodate most playing styles. Mahogany also contains its dark warmth, but is well-balanced with a bite of its own. Aesthetically the Performer's top and body will stand out from the crowd due to its quilted pattern and gorgeous natural gloss finish.

Mahogany Neck & Pau Ferro Fingerboard

The Performer's neck is crafted from mahogany, providing players with great durability and resonance. The reason why many guitar necks are crafted from mahogany is because the wood responds greatly to picking, strumming, and various picking techniques with equal ease. The neck is topped with a pau ferro fingerboard that delivers a warm, bright, sparkly tone that really shines through when using finger picking techniques. The pau ferro fingerboard also provides a smooth and energetic playing experience and is sprinkled with mother of pearl block inlays for added elegance.

Dean On-Board Preamp

The Dean Performer features an on-board DMT G05 preamp with the convenience of a built-in tuner. The DMT G05 features rotary controls for bass, mid1, mid2, treble, presence and a phase button. The DMT comes with a built-in chromatic tuner, providing the ideal set up for the gigging guitarist.
