This wondrous guitar is the first model from Brian May Guitars that is not based on the iconic Red Special, but that doesn’t mean it ignores some of those legendary features. The Brian May Arielle boasts three BM Brand Tri-Sonic Style Series Wired Single Coil pickups, the ultimate producers of a deliciously rich and warm sound. Rather than taking inspiration from the renowned flagship model, this guitar is based on Arielle's own beloved instrument. Designed by Arielle herself, the guitar is supremely comfortable to play thanks to its smooth, elegant contours and lightweight build.
Crafted from Limba (also known as 'Korina'), the retro-style body is a nod to guitars of the '50s and '60s. It also offers the kind of versatility that modern players like Arielle need to deliver an explosive performance whilst delivering a beautifully warm and articulate sound.
Iconic pickups
Complementing the resonant tone of the body, the Brian May Arielle's Tri-Sonic Style single coil pickups deliver a powerful, well-rounded tone. Each unit picks up sound from three points and features ceramic magnets and uniquely wound coils, ensuring you have superbly rich and full sonic qualities that are warmer than traditional single-coils. Better still, as well as having the choice of three pickups, the Shin Chin switching system's Phase switch gives you the same tonal versatility as the Red Special.
