It can function without a speaker load, meaning you can run the amp head through either of the outputs without needing it to be connected to a speaker. It’s a revolutionary feature for home or small studio use, as it transfers the great tone of a turned up Ampeg amplifier in total silence. And for those times you do plug into a speaker cabinet, the PF-20T's 20 Watts of power will easily be loud enough for anything you throw at it, be that band rehearsals, studios, and even small venues.

Spice up the mix. Equipped with a dynamic EQ, the PF-20T is capable of a wide range of tones and timbres that suit any style. With Gain, Bass, Midrange and Treble controls you can roll in a variety of sounds to jam along to. Taking the hassle out of amp ownership. Ampeg have simplicity in mind by making the bias-adjustment simple and user friendly. This makes for effortless tube replacements later down the line, and as we’ve mentioned the dual line out takes the headaches out of recording. And when you’re on stage or the studio, a useful power LED will change colour depending if the unit is on standby or engaged – letting you know at a glance.
But perhaps the most interesting of all is a recommended cabinet designed to fit exactly to the PF-20T. The Ampeg PF-112HLF is not only the perfect sonic pairing, but the PF-20T is designed to latch on to the top. It can then flip upside down and be transported safely, and flipped back up again when you’re ready to play.
