The PDP Chad Smith 12'' x 6'' Signature Snare is one of three new signature snares created in collaboration with Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith. The clear shell is a seamless, solid piece of acrylic with a medium depth. Projecting a loud, cutting sound, the 12'' diameter makes for a much tighter response and higher tone than the regular 14'' model. Great to use as an auxiliary snare due to its tonal differences, this snare can change the mood of a song instantly. On the side is the PDP Signature Series logo with Chad Smith's signature, perfect if you're a fan of the Grammy-award winning drummer.

Designed for use by Grammy-award winning Chad Smith on the Getaway World Tour, the PDP Chad Smith 12'' x 6'' Signature Snare produces a tight and funky crack with pro-level playability at an affordable price. The transparent acrylic shell looks unique and delivers a quick, responsive attack with higher fundamentals that makes this ideal to use as an auxiliary snare, but also provides enough depth to use as a main snare in many situations.
Durable DW Hardware
The PDP Chad Smith Signature Snare Range features triple-flanged hoops on both sides, these provide a wide-open stick response that allows the drum to express its character without restraint. The DW magnetic throw-off provides instant, smooth throw-off action due to the magnetic mechanism - which also ensures the snare doesn't drop off unintentionally. True pitch tension rods and dual-turret lugs ensure the tuning stays tight and consistent throughout multiple performances.

Chad Smith has been the sole drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers since 1988. He is renowned for the blend of funk, rock and metal he incorporates into his drumming, as well as his general technique. A highly sought after drummer, he has worked with the likes of Johnny Cash, Jake Bugg, John Fogerty and many other big names in the industry. After seeing great success with his Pearl signature range in the past, he now brings the PDP Chad Smith Signature Snare Series to the public, after using them throughout the colossal Getaway World Tour.
