Nate Smith is a highly talented American drummer, composer, songwriter, and producer. Born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, his musical abilities were evident from a young age when he began playing the drums and learning piano by ear. Nate's passion for music led him to pursue a percussion performance scholarship at James Madison University, where he earned a B.S. in Media Arts and Design.
Aside from his remarkable talent as a musician, Nate is also an esteemed educator, having served on the faculty of the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program at The Kennedy Center. He has also been featured on various television shows and magazines, garnering recognition for his exceptional skills.
