Each of the drums feature a hand-sanded 45-degree bearing edge within 1/16'' from the outside edge. This ensures a smooth, even and flat surface for perfect head seating and guarantees you the classic Ludwig sound. All the Ludwig USA shells are produced using Radio Frequency Shell Technology to increase the stability throughout the drum and to provide an optimal sound quality.

The Ludwig Classic Maple FAB 3pc Shell Pack features 7-ply Cross-Laminated North American Maple shells which are the preferred choice by many professionals for their exceptional tonal versatility. The classic maple standard 7-ply, 6mm shells are formulated to provide optimum resonance and tonality. These shells have a rapid response, making them suitable for any playing style.
Each of the drum's bearing edges are cut to a 45-degree angle within 1/16'' from the outer edge. This sharp edge is hand-sanded to assure a smooth, even and flat surface to provide easy head placement.
The Ludwig USA shells are produced using Radio Frequency Shell Technology which increases stability through-out each drum. The RFST's unique bonding system is combined with a specialised, time-tested adhesive to cure each shell evenly over the entire surface of the shell.
