Gear4music has purchased the remaining stock, together with certain intangible assets including websites, trademarks, and commercial data, from the Administrators of GAK.co.uk Ltd and The Guitar, Amp & Keyboard Centre Ltd (together, "GAK").
For clarity, Gear4music is not acquiring any part of GAK's trading business, nor any other assets or liabilities, and has no current plans to use the GAK trading name.
The company has entered insolvency and appointed an insolvency practitioner. Its assets, including stock, branding, and websites, have been sold to Gear4music.com. The original company, however, still legally exists and remains responsible for its liabilities, but may not have funds to meet them.
Unfortunately, if your order was placed with the insolvent company and not fulfilled prior to the asset sale, it won't be fulfilled. You may be able to make a claim as an unsecured creditor in the insolvency. Philip Lewis Armstrong and Daniel Conway of FRP Advisory were appointed Joint Administrators of GAK.co.uk Ltd and The Guitar, Amp & Keyboard Centre Ltd (together, "GAK"). Should your query be relating to GAK, then please may we ask you contact the Administrators' office on the details below.

Refunds and returns are the responsibility of GAK, who have entered insolvency. You may submit a claim in the insolvency proceedings.
Gift cards or vouchers issued by the GAK are no longer valid. You may be able to make a claim as an unsecured creditor in the insolvency.
If the warranty or guarantee was issued by GAK, it is likely void. Gear4music has no obligation to honour warranties on any item purchased from GAK. If you have a branded product which is still within its manufacturer's warranty period (usually 1-year), please contact [email protected] and we may be able to help arrange the repair of your product.
If you paid by credit card and the value was over 116, you may be able to make a Section 75 claim through your card provider. If you used a debit card, you might be able to request a chargeback. Contact your bank or card issuer as soon as possible. If you paid via PayPal or Klarna or any other credit provider, you may be able to raise a dispute directly with them.
You can contact FRP Advisory, the insolvency practitioner (IP) handling the case. They will provide a form and guidance on how to submit your claim. Please be aware that unsecured creditors often receive only partial repayment, if any.
