The VR1 is a passive version of the Voodoo range from sE Electronics; a high-end ribbon microphone designed for acoustic instruments and strings. The unique style and look is reminiscent of vintage microphones from the late 80s, with a sleek finish. The microphone itself was designed by Company CEO – Siwei Zou. The result is a premium-grade ribbon microphone that captures that natural harmonics of lower-level audio sources. The internal components and meticulous design is ideal for micing guitar cabs thanks to the traditional figure 8 polar pattern.
The sE Electronics VR1 mic is one of the most unique ribbon microphones on the market, providing a full frequency range of 20Hz – 20kHz, capturing every nuance of your source audio. The full frequency performance makes the VR1 one of a few ribbon microphones that truly captures the high-end with articulate detail. The result is detailed clear sound with a true ribbon mic style at a highly-affordable price tag.
The new quick-release shock mount is designed specifically for the Magneto, X1 Series (sE X1, X1 Vocal Pack and X1 Studio Bundle) and sE 2200a II series (sE2200a II MP and sE2200a II C) of microphones. Along with the shock mount comes an integrated, height adjustable pop-shield with a quick release mechanism for instrument mic'ing.
The Pop Shield is an essential part of any vocal recording set-up, and is made from metal as oppose to the usual fabric shield, creating a much more durable product which is built to last. The pop shield helps to minimise unwanted noises such as plosive and sibilant sounds, resulting in improved audio quality when it comes to vocal recordings.
