The great design and engineering of the Gear4music Compressor/Gate ensures that both its compression and gating provide versatility and great audio performance in situations where other compressor/gates typically produce undesirable processing artefacts and artificial noises. The large frequency response of this unit allows a great versatility of use, and its lightweight rack mountable casing makes it equally at home in a variety of situations; such as live sound, home recording studios, instrument racks, and any other standard fixed audio installation environment. The Dual Compressor / Gate can be patched between mixing consoles and power amps to allow you to alter the sound to better match your environment, put between your monitor mixer and monitor power amps to compress or remove mismatched frequencies, have an instrument put directly into it to enhance the sound before reaching a power amplifier or instrument amplifier, and for many other uses.
