Frequency Shifting/Ring Modulator Eurorack Module

The FSH-1 is unique frequency shifting Eurorack module, ideal for sound design and manipulation applications. It can be used on a variety of sound sources from electric guitars, to drums, vocals and more. It is ideal for changing the mood and style of a sound, for example using the frequency shifter to shift the frequency response downward, results a darker and moodier sound that can be utilised to generate different atmospheres. It works by using two input signals, using one for the carrier and one for the audio signal. It also doubles up as a ring modulator, allowing you to switch between the two different modes using the integrated switch. The frequency ranges from 20Hz to 20kHz, giving you more than enough room to span the entire bandwidth.

Streamlined Controls

The ergonomic layout features integrated controls comprised of Coarse, Fine, Audio Input, Mix and Carrier CV attenuators. The centre of the module features a two-position switch for switching between ring modulation and frequency shifting. This versatile design is ideal for a range of sound design applications, allowing you to create everything from metallic timbres to sweeping whistles and tremolo-style effects. The outputs are patched to both ring modulators inputs, with the ring modulator mode comprised of two balanced multipliers receiving 0 and 90-degree shifted carrier and audio signals.

Versatile Connectivity

The robust yet compact module features the same ergonomic layout as the rest of the Cwejman range, featuring clearly annotated controls and patch points. The FSH-1 features three audio outputs comprised of Down, Mix and Up patch points. This gives you the ability to communicate with external modules and musical equipment for maximum flexibility. There is also a range switch for switching between frequency ranges, spanning from 0.2 Hz to 16Hz. You can then change the range to the Audio range, enabling the Coarse, Fine and Carrie CV controls. It also boasts dual audio inputs for the frequency shifter, a Mix CV and dual Carrier CV inputs.
