The Apogee Symphony offers legendary sound quality and the best conversion quality on the market. By using the latest electrical components, combined with optimised circuitry, the Apogee Symphony ensures pristine clarity and ultimate sonic transparency, making it the ideal choice for artists, producers and engineers. The Symphony is the most refined analog to digital converter Apogee have ever designed. The combination of decades of expertise and optimised circuit designs results in ultra-low distortion and great dynamic range. The Symphony is perfect for capturing every nuance of your analog gear and expensive microphones, plus it reproduces the most accurate audio when mixing. This ensures there is no masking when mixing, allowing you to produce professional results every time. With the Symphony you'll hear each track and instrument in your mix in great detail, making mixing much easier. Whether you're using analog or digital gear, you'll find that there is no decrease in performance. Work both with analog outboard gear and digital DAWs, and still retain every bit of warmth, punch and image in your recordings and signal processing chain. The Apogee Symphony also features a single ultra-high-fidelity DAC and headphone amplifier which helps to dynamically compensate for the nonlinearities for any connected headphones, providing huge power, while keeping distortion low. Additionally, the Symphony ensures constant high-level performance and reliability with dynamic temperature control to keep the unit running at an ideal temperature.
With the Symphony you can use the front panel touchscreen to access the essential input and output settings, allowing you to change your input selection, monitoring levels, mic pre gain and more. The display provides visual feedback for recording and monitoring, meaning you can look at the Symphony instead of your computer. The Symphony lets you see metering for up to 64 channels of I/O, 32 IN x 32 OUT. There are also controls for muting, phantom power and more.
The Apogee Symphony features a range of connections that make it ideal for home studios, project studios, and commercial recording studios. The Symphony offers 2 line level inputs with 124dB of dynamic range, THD+N of 116dB, and 7 line level outputs with 131dB of dynamic range. The Symphony can connect to hi-fi systems and can be used alongside other digital gear. It can also be used standalone without a computer by using the Standalone Routing function.
This version is the module only, which can be added into any existing MKII chassis. If you already own either a Thunderbolt Symphony or Pro Tools HD Symphony, you can connect this module into an available slot on your existing Symphony to expand its I/O count and setup.
