Designed specifically for monitoring audio sources in noisy environments, these headphones combine the benefits of a closedback design and the comfort of supraaural earphones. The K 171 Studio are light, extremely rugged, and easy-to-use headphones you can wear in many different ways. Providing high noise attenuation and a powerful sound. Simply loud and convenient.
These studio headphones feature AKG's Varimotion XXL transducers used in the K 141 Studio and K 240 Studio models. The AKG Varimotion XXL technology delivers pristine sonic definition, wide frequency response and lifelike dynamics.
The K 171 Studio combines the benefits of a closed-back design with the lightweight and comfort of supra-aural headphones. The closed-back design, combined with the new transducer gives the K 171 Studio a different low-frequency character than the K 141 Studio, yet maintains its comfort. The K 171 Studio has a frequency range of 18 to 26,000 Hz and weighs only 7.1 oz without cable. The K 171 Studio has a detachable 10 ft / 3 m input cable with a screw-on gold plated mini to 1/4-inch jack. Its low-impedance and high sensitivity gives the K 171 Studio 10 - 12 dB more output than the "classic" AKG 141 Monitor.
The K 171 Studio will be a very good choice for broadcast use as well as any applications where no sound must leak from the headphones (e.g., TV productions).
