Multi-Pattern Design

The sE Electronics sE2200a II is a highly versatile studio microphone featuring a multi-pattern design, for a range of recording applications. The thing that sets the mic apart from conventional microphone is the ability to toggle between polar patterns, catering for different recording purposes. At the heart of the microphone is the hand-built and custom-tuned brass capsule with a gold-sputtered diaphragm. This premium-grade capsule provides a wide frequency range designed for high-definition audio fidelity. The frequency response captures every nuance of your source audio, retaining every subtle detail. The multi-pattern design is represented by a three-position switch on the body of the microphone, allowing you to toggle between different patterns.

The highly versatile design of the microphone makes it ideal for a range of recording applications. From capturing studio-grade vocal recordings to electric guitars, drum overheads and more. The sE2200a is one of the most flexible microphones on the market, with its selectable patterns allowing you to cater specifically to a select audio source. The cardioid pattern is ideal for capturing vocal recordings, the omnidirectional pattern is great for room mics, overheads and grand pianos. The figure-8 pattern Is perfect for recording duets with excellent off-axis response. It also features -10dB and -20dB settings, wit the -20dB ideal for additional low-frequency control.

Custom Shockmount & Rugged Design

The microphone also comes complete with a custom metal shock mount and pop filter, designed for use with the mic. The shock mount and isolation filter are taken from sE Electronics Isolation Pack. The curved metal design is optimised to eliminate sibilance, plosives and other unwanted vibrations for a clearer recording. The quick-release design allows you to mount the shockmount with the twist of a single knob. The robust yet sleek design of the microphone not only looks goods but ensures optimal durability. The integrated grille protects the internal components whilst minimising unwanted vibrations.
