The bone nut and saddle adds to the classic aesthetics of the bass, while enhancing the strings resonance and sustain. Bone also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time since it will naturally self-lubricate, helpping the bass to stay in tune for longer.
Even without amplification, the basic character is evident; a growling tone across the instrument's full range with a big bottom. Unlike all other Warwick basses, the Alien is not manufactured in Germany. Built in Vietnam by a well-known acoustic builder to Warwick's exacting specifications, using technology and components supplied by Warwick, this is then toned down for the Rockbass version which is made in China.
