Key Features
The Vox AC15 Custom allows you to dial into a vintage sound that can be made completely your own with its normal and top-boost channels. Each channel is equipped with its very own volume control, and the top-boost channel provides highly interactive treble and bass controls, as well as a powerful channel pairing which provides a glorious amount of tonal shaping.
Access the tone cut control which allows for an additional degree of tonal crafting by operating at the power stage rather than the pre-amp stage. The master volume control works with the individual volumes of each channel to create just the right amount of gain-staging. Both channels on the AC15 Custom rely on the tone cut and volume controls in the master section. The individual master volumes are balanced in perfect harmony, ensuring this Vox custom series amp can project everything from a clean, crisp Vox sound full of brightness and chime, all the way to a powerful yet articulate overdriven tone.
The Vox classic tremolo effect lets you sweeten up your sound and add a modulative twist to your performance, you can generate your perfect voice using this setting by adjusting the speed and depth. You can also add a wide scope of spaciousness to your guitar’s harmonics through the warm spring reverb effect. All of the Vox custom series amps are connectable to the Vox VFS2 footswitch, which allows you to turn on and off these effect settings as you play – so you have a world of sonic possibilities beneath your feet.
Three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of EL84 tubes are used within the AC15 Custom combo in order to drive the single 12” Celestion speaker. All the models within this Vox custom series offer a switchable 8/16ohm output jack for powering an external speaker cabinet. For those times you need to speak with a little more authority; using this jack will mute the internal speakers. You can also create a fuller sound by running an extra 16ohm cabinet along with the internal speakers through the AC15 Custom’s second extension jack.
