Body Tonewoods

Built using mahogany for the top, neck, back and sides, with a laurel fingerboard, players can achieve a bright midi-range, a well-balanced tonal voice, and a thick well defined tone perfect for many styles. Mahogany is used a lot in the acoustic world, as it is relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant.

Super Folk Cutaway

The super folk cutaway shape is specially suited country, folk, and pop genres. Smaller bodied guitars are especially great for finger-picking techniques due to the small body. The cutaway shape provides a comfortable playing experience and puts challenging chords within easy reach.

Mahogany Neck

The mahogany neck is topped with a laurel fingerboard, that delivers a warm, bright, and sparkly tone that really shines through when using finger picking techniques. The reason why many guitar necks are made from mahogany is because the wood responds greatly to picking, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease.

Fishman Presys+

The Tanglewood Sundance Pro comes with an on-board Fishman Presys+ preamp. It is designed to offer maximum control, performance, and quality in a small format. The sophisticated Presys+ system features volume, bass, mid, and treble controls, along with a phase switch, and built-in tuner with easy read LED screen for a quick and reliable setup. The presys+ also includes a pre-wired Fishman Sonicore pickup, as well as a low battery indicator, and unique pivot design for easy access to battery compartment.

In addition to providing you with a beautiful tone and comfortable playing experience, the Sundance Pro Super Folk Electro Acoustic is finished with a full host of ornate details including a tortoise shell pickguard, with matching tortoise shell side binding, and gold grover machine heads.
