Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, a pair of modern Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucking pickups drives this guitar's voice, combining for highly balanced, flexible tone, with plenty of high output for pristine cleans and snarling distortion. Single volume and tone controls shape the pickups' output, which can be further refined with the three-way toggle switch for the precise voice required to bring your musical vision to life. Dive and soar expressively with the Floyd Rose FRT-O5000 double-locking tremolo bridge, recessed for pick hand comfort and providing laser-accurate intonation and ultra-stable tuning.
Mahogany is a dense tonewood which offers warm and rich tones with excellent depth. It also offers durability and a sound which will mature over the years, making this guitar a long lasting investment. Coupled with a quilt maple top, the PRO SL2Q Soloist provides a stunning and eyecatching appearance. The maple can also extend the tonal range of the mahogany making it the ultimate pairing.
The Soloist SL2Q features a one-piece through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods. The scarf joint strengthens the neck, and the connection between the neck and the headstock, whilst the rods provide stiffness and high stability, guarding against temperature, humidity-induced bending and warping. Its 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing. The fingerboard is more curved at the nut for comfortable chording, and flattens out as you move up the neck for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out.
