The Morning Glory circuit has a unique tone that is based on a Marshall Bluesbreaker, the Morning Glory circuit has been through 3 transformations since it's initial version, updates and modifications have provided more headroom and more available gain. The transparency of the Morning Glory ensures that the clean tone you know and love is not just replaced with an amp simulation, but enhanced with a warm crunch that drives your signal with just the right amount of gain. The JHS-808 circuit is a classic overdrive circuit that provides a warm, saturated crunch on top of your clean tone with a 3 way gain switch to fine tune the gain response.
The Double Barrel can be used with both circuits in series, there is a toggle switch which allows you to select which circuit comes first in your signal path; another advantage of the 2-in-1 pedal format. The circuits can also be used individual, the option to change the way they run with the flick of a switch helps you to craft the perfect drive tone for you.
JHS Pedals has evolved from a one man, bedroom operation, to a world recognised boutique effects pedal company. All JHS pedals feature a simplistic design, with hand-wired components. Josh Scott, founder of JHS Pedals, began by modifying pedals he had on his personal board, years of touring and session work led Josh to realise exactly what it is that players want from their pedals which meant building them from the ground up to achieve perfection.
JHS Pedals are hand-built in Kansas City USA, the company has a core value that JHS builders will never be replaced by robots. Every boutique JHS pedal is made and tested by a highly skilled pedal builder to ensure that every JHS pedal is crafted to perfection.
