Capturing the authentic sound of an acoustic instrument and transferring that sound to one that's suitable for live performance can be extremely difficult. Pickups can struggle to communicate acoustic warmth, and the majority of microphones are susceptible to noise interference and feedback. The LR Baggs Lyric is the solution to this problem.
This supremely powerful guitar mic is an expert at transporting your guitar's exact voice to a live audience. Never has there been a microphone as capable of communicating acoustic sound as this. For the first time ever, you'll be able to play exquisite, natural-sounding acoustic jazz tones in venues of any size. This makes the Gypsy Jazz the ultimate instrument for any gigging jazz guitarist.
This is a guitar that does everything. It's not just brilliant for amplified acoustic sound. It also provides you with a powerful, wide-ranging electronic system that means you're capable of accessing even more tonal possibilities. A Seymour Duncan Lipstick pickup provides crispness and dynamism to your playing, ideal for when you need to inject a little more aggression into your music. A tone control lets you shape your sound even further, giving you a gigantic tonal palette that lets you experiment extensively from song to song.
An instrument that'll always stand out from the crowd. The Multiac is a remarkably unique guitar that looks completely individual. The elegant solid spruce top is finished in high gloss to give a flawless sheen. The guitar features one-of-a-kind scattered soundholes that are off-centre, giving it a totally original aesthetic. The Gypsy Jazz's stunning natural colour completes a beautiful instrument that really does look and feel like no other.
Crafted with jazz at its core. The Godin Multiac Gypsy Jazz is inspired by the genre it takes its name from, designed to be an instrument that's perfectly suited for the swinging, distinctive sound of gypsy jazz.
First heard on the swinging streets of Paris in the early 1930s, gypsy jazz was born out of a cultural society prospering in the wake of World War One. Romani jazz guitarist "Django" Reinhardt was the main pioneer, developing a percussive, highly-dynamic style of guitar playing known as "la pompe". This removed the need for drums, with the acoustic guitar acting both as the lead instrument and the percussion.
The genre became wildly popular for its distinctive, interesting, and upbeat sound. With the Multiac Gypsy Jazz, Godin have instilled the excitement of the genre into a superb guitar. They've made sure that you'll enjoy an exhilarating playing experience from the moment you pick it up, to the second you put it down.
