Punch through. The active tone of EMGs is well known amongst all guitarists for its unrivalled tightness and high output power. The LTD Gary Holt has a red coloured EMG 81 in the bridge, which offers a tonne of tonal crunch for powerful chugging and aggressive licks. Your mids will sound raw and full of bite, cutting through any mix with ease. Chords will be defined and full, shining with sheer saturation.

Switch to the neck pickup and this guitar becomes a shred machine. The EMG 89R offers you a beautiful, well rounded tone which is slightly warmer than its counterpart. Higher notes will squeal with sustain and shine with expression. Everything you play will sound articulate, precise, and downright divine as you blaze your way through riffs.
