Fender Special Run basses have been specifically commissioned at the request of individual retailers, and built to their specifications. FSR are not regular production models and are more unique compared to models that are available all year round. This Vintage Modified Mustang Bass in Candy Apple Red is exclusive to Gear4music whilst stocks last.
The Modified Mustang Bass is equipped with a special design split single-coil Mustang Bass pickup. This high fidelity pickup opens up the frequency response and delivers a classic tone that can be applied to any type of music. Controlling this split single coil is easy with master volume and tone control knobs.
Unlike standard bass guitar scales, the Modified Mustang Bass features a shorter scale length of 30". It is particularly well suited for players with smaller hands such as younger musicians, and also perfect for players who prefer a shorter scale. Another benefit of this scale of bass is that it provides a comfortable, fast-playing neck that isn't such a stretch.
The Vintage Modified Mustang Bass features a "C"-shaped neck profile, which leaves a small pocket of space between the palm of the players hand and the guitar neck, providing ultimate comfort and easier access to the frets. This particular neck profile is common with many Squier and Fender Basses, and as it allows the players fingers move freely across the fingerboard, and therefore offers optimum performance.
