The Music Man Majesty

The Music Man Majesty was created to offer a supremely comfortable playing experience for the most discerning players with the highest professional demands. John Petrucci wanted to ensure that the guitar "gets out of your way and lets you be the best guitar player that you can be". As such, every contour, cutaway, profile, electronic device, and control placement has been honed towards exceptional player comfort and performance.

Mahogany Body

The Majesty Artisan's African mahogany body is lightweight and incredibly resonant, with a warm tonality and sustain enhanced by the mahogany through-neck design. The maple top gives additional bright overtones and helps harmonics leap out of your amplifier. Every contour has been created to sit comfortably against the body, and all the controls are mounted in the most ergonomic position. The two horns are deeply cut to enable unparalleled top-fret access, both on top and underneath the fingerboard.

Neck-Through Design

The mahogany neck features a comfortable profile with a flat 17'' radius ebony fingerboard for incredible string-balance. The neck-through design features a smoothly contoured neck-body join, bereft of any bolts or blocks giving you the smoothest playing-feel at the top end of the neck. The body's deep cutaways ensure that playing at the top frets is as easy as playing as the bottom.

DiMarzio Illuminator Humbuckers

DiMarzio Illuminator humbuckers give the Majesty Artisan the signature John Petrucci tones, allowing you to cover a versatile range of tones including crunchy riffs, liquid-smooth leads, crystal clean picking parts, and articulate sounds for complex riffs. A 3-way switch provides individual and combined-coil tones, while the tone control acts as a coil-splitter, letting you access additional single-coil tones. The volume control enables a push-push boost, giving you up to 20dB of addition signal - perfect for increasing your amp's saturation for smooth solos.

Piezo Bridge Pickup

The Majesty Artisan features a piezo bridge pickup, letting you achieve realistic acoustic guitar tones. The guitar has an onboard preamp which lets you control the piezo balance and tone, along with setting the guitar's single output to mono or stereo through the same jack socket. The guitar has a 3-way switch letting you blend the piezo sound with the magnetic pickups or use it independently.

John Petrucci

John Petrucci is best known as the guitarist, producer, lyricist and founding member of the successful progressive metal band Dream Theater. John is also known as a member of Liquid Tension Experiment as well as a solo player and educator. Dream Theater are known globally for their technically challenging styles of music, taking inspiration from diverse progressive rock bands and many other genres. They record and tour the world year after year, and Petrucci has long-relied on Music Man guitars to meet his highly demanding professional requirements.
