The Mesa Boogie WalkAbout is the ultimate amp for the busy bass player. If you find yourself traveling far for gigs and don't fancy lugging around a rig, then opt for the WalkAbout. The compact linear-powered bass innovation. The hybrid-architecture uses a 4 stage tube preamp and drivers which have a MOSFET power block. It operates at 300w so it is loud enough to light up any stage you might find yourself playing – big or small. It won't slow you down or hold you back.

Innovative Design

The WalkAbout is a convertible bass head. This means that it can be used as a rack or it can be placed in WalkAbout chassis (sold separately)

The innovative Simul-state design provides your bass tone with linear playing characteristics. Warm, punchy, everything in between. SOund your best with vibrant highs, full lows, and juicy centres, all in a tiny package.

The WalkAbout is perfect for studio and stage. With all the hook-ups, inputs and outputs you'll ever need. The rear features a balanced XLR direct output which still captures the warmth of the preamp. The GroundLift switch solves any grounding issues you might have and an effects loop option, which can be bypassed if you would prefer - ideal for tone purists. A 3 band EQ gives you control over your bass tone. After shaping your bass and treble, fill in the centre with mids to mould your bass tone to your taste. Fine-tune it further with the semi-parametric EQ to give you the means of addressing the finer points with high accuracy.
