Product Ref: 89555
The Ibanez Iron Label features an lightweight mahogany body with elegant contours and a smooth design, letting you play all night long without shoulder strain. As well as appearance, the Ibanez also features a single-cutaway body shape which allows easier access to the higher frets, offering flexibility across the whole fingerboard.
The use of Ibanez's own Nitro Wizard neck allows the Iron Label guitar to be extremely playable and optimised for lead guitarists. The thin nature of this neck helps to perform swift and nimble guitar runs seamlessly, whilst retaining enough substance to ensure a thick and full resonance when playing rhythm patterns and chords. Crafted from 3-piece maple and bubinga, the guitar's neck provides iron-like strength for enhanced neck stability and a strong sustain.
Players can achieve a classic metal tone with the two DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups, which were designed in a collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio. Located on the neck and bridge positions, these pickups produce a variety of overdriven textures, creating powerfully distinctive tones perfect for metal styles. A specially coil tap switch allows the guitar to switch between dynamic humbucking tones to sweet single-coil sounds.
The RGAIR6 Iron Label also features the Gibraltar Standard II bridge, designed to join with the guitar's body and provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration. This setup enhances the guitar’s resonance and sustain, while its smooth surface maximises playing comfort for an unobtrusive performance.
The Ibanez Iron Label Series are a meticulously designed and professional quality series of 6, 7 and 8 string electric guitars, purposely built for modern metal guitar players. The guitar’s feature only the highest quality parts, such as active EMG or DiMarzio pickups, Ibanez’s own nitro wizard neck, heavy duty hardware and switches. By stripping back the designs to the basics and working from the ground up, Ibanez have built an adept line of heavy metal guitars that cater to your every need and prove to be an outstanding choice for all styles of metal players.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
