Duane Eddy

Duane Eddy is an American guitarist who is renowned for producing that classic 'twang' which featured on many of his hits from the late 1950s, including 'Rebel Rouser,' 'Peter Gunn,' and 'Because They're Young'. This signature model is a limited edition, and plays homage to this iconic musician who is still producing music even now.

Construction

This legendary guitar features a hollow body construction crafted from arched laminated maple, delivering a warm, resonant tone. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the soundboard, which allow the natural sound to be projected acoustically. These elegantly cut holes, also provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s.

Trestle Bracing

Trestle bracing is a distinctive bracing system that feature on many Gretsch guitars, and provides increased sustain, along with decreasing any undesirable feedback. This innovative bracing system was first introduced in the late 50s and has been a popular feature ever since. This bracing pattern includes spruce braces in a 'U' shape, that run parallel to each other along the body of the guitar, and offer a rigid construction, along with maintaining a resonant tone.

DynaSonic Single Coil Pickups

The DynaSonic single-coil pickup has been a Gretsch standard since the late 1940s, and was one of the first pickups to offer individually adjustable pole-pieces. DynaSonic pickups are renowned for offering that classic rockabilly tone, that many retro players love. The G6120DE Duane Eddy 'Signature' Hollow Body features a polished brass nut, which is both durable and long lasting. A brass nut delivers a very unique tone, with the open string G a lot louder. It also allows the tone to stay clear and defined when using heavy overdrive.

Bigsby Tailpiece

The Bigsby tailpiece is a common feature on many hollow body guitars by Gretsch. Its iconic design allows players to add pitch-bending effects to their tone, whilst maintaining an accurate tuning. Rocking Bar Bridge
