The Glendora NPG’s body is crafted from resonant ash wood, offering an excellent sustain that will let the guitars tones sing. The hard wood creates a bright tone with firm lows and pleasant highs that make the guitar good for playing cutting, and distorted tones. With a strong midrange and a crisp bass response, the ash wood provides the guitar with bright, loud tonal characteristics. The body is then topped with flamed maple and given a trans peacock finish to bring out the maples figuring, providing a stylish and unique aesthetic.
The flamed maple and rosewood combination gives the guitar exceptionally thick, firm lows and a sizzling high end that’s both sparkly and creamy. The flamed maple is roasted to provide a lighter and strong neck, whilst also making it less susceptible to moisture and climate change. The maple wood offers bright characteristics, tightening up the guitar's overall tone and adding some cut for a midrange snappy attack. The rosewood fingerboard ‘furs up’ the maple's tone, giving it some warmth while opening up the mids. The maple and rosewood work together to provide a punchy, gnarl edge when the strings are hit hard, but become clear with light to medium picking.
The Glendora features a set of Habanero’s humbuckers, designed with slip coils to give you the ability to switch between humbucker tones to single coil sounds. The two PAF type humbuckers provide a high output screamer, perfect for metal and heavy music. The bridge humbucker delivers a fatter tone than the neck humbucker, allowing for a more defined and dynamic tone for chords and rhythm. Both pickups produce incredible tones that are suitable for a range of musical style, making the Glendora a very versatile guitar.
Floyd Rose is one of the leading manufacturers of guitar bridges, using top of the range design techniques to craft outstanding quality parts. With a design that has stood strong for years, the Floyd Rose locking tremolo system allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch to create unique sounds such as dive bombs and pitch bends. The bridge works together with the locking nut to increase the guitar's string stability, while preventing the strings from detuning after excessive bending.
A set of Hipshot tuners are used on the GJ2 guitar, offering a precise turning ratio of 18:1 with quick string changes and excellent tuning stability. With an open gear design and a locking mechanism, the tuners have different post heights for a staggered layout resulting in no string tree.
Jescar 57110 frets and used on the fingerboard and are built with stainless steel for a sturdy and strong construction, allowing the frets to remain sturdy for many years.
