The Fender American Vintage guitars capture the heritage of key eras of music history. To achieve this stunning authenticity Fender tracked down original guitar models and studied every inch of them restoring original tooling dies, voicing new pickups and reformulating vintage colours.
The Fender American Vintage 65 Jaguar marks a significant chapter in Jaguar history. After surf but before punk, the sole 60s member of Fender's big four guitars staked its claim amongst a select group of alternative minded guitarists who loved its distinctive and offbeat character. The classic Jaguar short scale, dual circuit layout and sleek chromed out design are all present and correct along with a bound, round laminated fingerboard and large pearl dot inlays. These elegant touches were acquired by the Fender Jaguar's in 1965, just three years after its introduction.
