Mahogany Body

The ESP Original Horizon-II NT features a body crafted from solid mahogany, designed with comfortable contours to provide players with the best playing experience. The mahogany tonewood delivers a soft tone, with plenty of grind and bite to keep it well-balanced and create plenty of depth. The guitar’s appealing high end and full, tight low end ensures the overall tonality remains thick and firm, offering plenty of dynamics to accommodate a variety of musical styles.

Maple Neck, Ebony Fingerboard

The Original Series Horizon-II is equipped with a 3pc maple neck and ebony fingerboard, delivering warm, bright tones with plenty of depth and dynamics. The maple provides the overall tone with a rounded quality, creating bright characteristics and an excellent amount of sustain. Its thin U-shaped profile is perfect for speed demons, allowing players to easily reach across the entire fingerboard without losing any comfort. The addition of an ebony fingerboard helps to tighten up the neck’s tone, giving it a defined feel, excellent clarity, and a fast attack. The maple and ebony combination creates a sparkling, sizzling high end, a muscular controlled bass response, and a snappy midrange with extra presence in the lower mids.

Seymour Duncan ‘59 & Custom 5 Pickups

The set of Seymour Duncan provides this Original Series ESP with strong tones and plenty of dynamics to accommodate even the harshest playing styles. The Custom 5 bridge humbucker offers a high output tone with an even bass and treble response, making it perfect for a wide range of musical styles. As a brighter version of the popular Custom Custom humbucker, the Custom 5 delivers incredibly bright tones with a nice, full quality and a balanced response. The neck position sports the Seymour Duncan 59, a vintage-voiced humbucker designed to offer versatile tones and a sweet sustain. Selecting this pickup will load the guitar with full lows, boosted highs, and a smooth, open midrange to deliver full sounding chords and a clear, bright attack.

The Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece offers incredible string stability, enhancing the overall sustain and resonance.
