Lightweight Alder Body

The ESP LTD SC-20 Stephen Carpenter Electric Guitar features lightweight alder wings, with a neck-through construction, offering a resonant tone with stunning aesthetics. The neck-through construction allows easier access to the higher frets, because there is no need for a heel, therefore offering smooth playability.

Trio of ESP & Seymour Duncan Pickups

The SC-20 features a trio of pickups including an ESP Designed LH-150 in the middle, a ESP Designed LS-120N at the neck and a Seymour Duncan JB at the bridge. This powerful trio allow players to achieve crisp highs, a superb low end, and an excellent output, perfect for a variety of styles. Volume and tone controls, along with a 5-way switch are also included, allowing players to easily shape their tone.

Tonepros Locking Tune-O-Matic Bridge & Tailpiece

The ESP LTD SC-20 features the popular Tonepros Tune-O-Matic bridge, also known as a TOM bridge. Complete with tailpiece, this TOM bridge is especially designed to deliver superb sustain, thanks to its innovative patented design. With this bridge, each string can be intonated individually, for the best tone possible. In addition, this 20th anniversary model also incorporates a string-thru body construction, which improves sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tune-o-matic bridge.

About Stephen Carpenter

Stephen Carpenter is the guitarist in alternative metal band Deftones. The band are said to be one of the most experimental and innovative groups within alternative metal. Stephen often plays with 6, 7 and 8 string guitars for ultimate shredding and versatility. He has developed a distinct playing style and has designed ESP guitars since the 90's to craft his perfect axe. The ESP LTD SC-20 marks the 20th anniversary since Stephen got his first ESP guitar.
