Key Features
Product Ref: 85498
The ESP guitar features powerful Seymour Duncan ’59 and JB pickups, creating an incredibly versatile instrument which suits a wide range of musical styles such as blues, rock, punk, heavy rock and metal. The ’59 is situated in the neck position to offer an incredibly versatile PAF style humbucker, delivering a full sound with an articulate treble attack. The pickup features an alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting to compensate for light guitar strings and loud amps, creating old school tonal character with a bright top end. The JB is placed in the bridge position, providing a hot output with powerfully full lows and crisp, detailed highs. Use the hot rodded humbucker to add extra crunch and chunk to heavy chords, or add a singing, vocal-like quality to single notes and solos.
Along with the set of Seymour Duncan pickups, ESP have fitted the EC-1000 with a Fishman powerbridge, providing the guitar with even more tonal possibilities. The bridge allows the LTD guitar to produce acoustic tones with excellent articulation, letting you produce amazing sounds to suit a wide range of musical styles. An extra jack output is added to the guitar, letting you run a stereo jack to split the piezo and magnetic tones intro two different speakers. A powerchip lets you mix the powerbridge’s signal with the Seymour Duncan pickups, and also allows the two signals to be split in stereo.
The EC-1000 features ESP’s innovative neck construction technique, creating the look and feel of a neck-thru-body design while maintaining the warmth and wood tone combinations of a set-neck instrument. Access to the upper frets is not a problem and gone is that old traditional "bulky" set-neck heel.
