Key Features

Loaded with a passive EMG HZ-FH2 humbucking pickup, the ESP E-II Wild Scythe delivers a dynamic sound. The powerful passive pickup is coupled with an active MM-04 preamp boost for that extra sound without the unwanted background noise. The advanced electronics on this guitar are assisted by a Floyd Rose Original Tremolo bridge for pitch bending, and Gotoh tuners which help to keep you in tune.
The offset V body shape screams heavy metal at first glance, and features artwork from Children of Bodom's album 'I Worship Chaos'. The finish on the back is black with red pinstripes and 'Wild Scythe' written in contrasting red. The incredible, striking artwork on this ESP guitar gives it a stand out appearance and makes it a great collectors piece.
The Wild Scythe also features a smooth maple neck, coupled with an ebony fingerboard, allowing you to easily glide between the frets for fast playing like Alexi himself. Frets 20 to 24 are scalloped, enabling easier grip on the strings and more comfort. With a lightweight alder body and neck through construction, this signature Alexi Lahio guitar provides the ultimate comfort.
Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho is the front man and lead guitarist for Finnish melodic death metal masters Children Of Bodom. Throughout his 15-year long career, Alexi has received widespread acclaim for his work including "Best Shredder" and "Best Metal Guitarist" by Guitar World magazine, as well as one of the 50 fastest guitar players in the world. His outstanding work has included an endorsement with ESP guitars as well as pushing what an ESP guitar can do during his career.
