Loaded with two Seymour Duncan Livewire humbuckers, the V Dave Mustaine Korina produces a super high output tone due to the built-in pre-amp, while retaining the organic sound qualities associated with Seymour Duncan pickups. Perfect for achieving searing high gain tones, the Livewire humbuckers are designed to match the resonant frequency of the classic Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB and SH-2N pickups.
With a set-in Korina neck sculpted to Dave Mustaine's unique specification, this beautiful Trans Amber V maintains the resonance and durability of thicker D shaped necks, but with a slightly thinner profile that allows smoother playability and easy access to the higher fret range. The 24 medium frets allow a full 2-octave range on each string and the very flat 16" radius provides a thoroughly modern playing feel. The body offers unrivalled access to all 24 frets and ensures that this guitar will allow you to solo over the whole neck with ease.
The V Dave Mustaine incorporates a string-thru body construction to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the Korina body as it goes over the tune-o-matic bridge and passes through the body.
Born in 1961, Dave Mustaine is an American guitarist who was the original lead guitarist for heavy metal titans Metallica. After leaving Metallica, Dave Mustaine formed the band Megadeth and has since released 14 studio albums with hit songs such as "Symphony of Destruction", "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Trust". In 2006 Dave received an endorsement from Dean Guitars and has since released a series of signature models with custom specifications and unique finishes.
